My Dad's birthday is coming up in a few days, and my family likes to celebrate by going to Rol-Star, a restaurant here in Buckhannon. This is Andrew's Grandpa of course.

When Andrew was 15, he let his hair grow long. It was so beautiful, but my Dad never really liked long hair on boys. He would bring it up every time he saw Andrew. So, when Andrew cut his hair near the time of this birthday celebration, he had a great idea.

Andrew and his girlfriend, Samantha, came to the birthday party with a box on Andrew's head. Sam guided him to his chair, right next to Grandpa. The whole restaurant was staring at my "crazy" son. My Dad was puzzled, and wondered what was going on. Andrew said, from under the box, "Open up your present." When Dad took the box off, he thought Andrew's present was great. Andrew's hair was cut short, and Dad rubbed his hands over the newly cut hair. Everybody cracked up.

Andrew was gifted with his sense of humor. He was always making everyone laugh and brought so much joy to so many people. For those of you who know Andrew, you know exactly what I'm talking about. I treasure every moment with Andrew, and the sweetest memories come from Andrew making me laugh.
